There are two different games within this IGT video slot. One is deliberately retro in look and feel, and the other is more up to date – filled with sparking gems. The theme is ‘diamonds are a girl’s best friend’, with the rich girl and her love of the gems showing up in different ways. There is a cartoon sequence between the main and bonus feature, which is a little on the ‘cheesy’ side. That aside this is an entertaining slot which has a lot more to it than first meets the eye.

The music in the She’s a Rich Girl slot machine is a dance music soundtrack. This is (mostly) timed with the reel sounds to give an upbeat effect. If you are not into dance then this could be a negative, though for me it was harmless enough in the background. The gasp noises when one or more of the bonus symbols land are entertaining; it is hard to work out what is going on the first couple of times. Graphics are basic and bright, with fruit, a toy dog, sugar daddy, cat and the rich girl herself making up the pictures.

The bonus game is the second set of reels with the gems in this game. This is called the ‘diamond run’ and can go on for quite a long time.

I did not expect to enjoy this slot, though will have to admit that it is entertaining. The 9 line setup took a bit of getting used to; though this does mean your line wins are bigger (you are not spreading those coins over 30 or more lines). The dance music was uplifting, a contrast to many more ‘atmospheric’ slots which have very relaxing soundtracks. I also liked the different symbols for the bonus round, which kept the slot interesting.
